As I sit alone quarantined
I think of my beloved Kashmir
Now I understand you my love
What I felt for two days
You have gone through for
Over two decades...
I was born in silence but with
The sound of gun shots
And machine guns singing
I grew up silent, not speaking
For the guns did the speaking
The machine guns dancing
I am silent today today
But my head makes noise
It gyrates at the sound of guns
My future stands in silence
My music inside my vicera
Was a gift from the barrels of a gun
Two decades. I was not even born
And I walk bearing the cross
Of anonimity amidst hundred
Cymbals and Ayaats from beyond.
My beloved Kashmir.
